Planning study
The October 2022 draft plan reproduced in Edition 2 distinguishes reception, lounge, meeting space, backstage storage, breakout rooms and internal office functions. It records design development rather than an as-built survey.
A playful setting for conversation and connection.
An imaginative meeting destination in Helsinki’s Kamppi district.
Shared areas influence how people move between formal activities. They can offer places to pause, talk and encounter a different side of a venue.
Greenery, swings and playful furniture give the shared space a garden-like character. The visible elements create a memorable contrast to the expectations of a conventional meeting venue.
The project extends DMZ’s exploration of themed meeting environments. Individual spaces can have their own character while remaining part of a connected visitor experience.
